Another Blunder?

So I heard that the Neon Explosion Dance wasn't that great - "lame" to be exact. -____-
That's a little disappointing. I wasn't able to go because I was out of town for family.
Because of the terrible turnout of this dance, there is a higher chance that we might not
even have a black light dance. Yes, I am very serious. Serious face ---> -.-
I do have to say that it is somewhat our, as in Student Council as a whole, fault.
Besides the fact that we did not get approval from the "head honcho" until a little later than
expected/desired, we did not advertise this dance as well as we should have.
HOWEVER, although this dance wasn't a success, I still have hope for upcoming events.

BY THE WAY! Powder Puff, girls? Is that a yes? Or is it a yes? :)
Unfortunately...[to be continued!]

Valentine's Day Dance!

Awesome. Just awesome.

So the Valentine's Dance is FOR SURE a go! (Well, that is, of course, if certain things get done.) I am so happy! Every year, there is a Valentine's Dance - tradition is kept here!
The only upsetting thing that usually happens is the lack of students at our dances. WHAT MORE DO KIDS WANT?! I always hear "Granite sucks; we never have anything going on." And blah, blah, blah. However, when we DO have dances, hardly anyone shows up. -___- Very upsetting.
I actually LOVE our dances - the music is great! Especially when we have our amazing DJ, Gaby! She's so awesome, I just wish that everyone would appreciate her as much as I do!
It truly is all up to the person though when it comes to our dances. You can be extremely lame and have your back on the wall or you can have the best time ever. IT'S A CHOICE. It really is! Even if the music isn't "poppin'" or there really isn't a lot of people dancing, it's up to the person to determine whether that $5 that they spent at the door is truly worth JUST STANDING THERE for a good two and a half hours. Come on people!
Goodness, kids these days.

SHE Strikes Again -__-

So I am a little upset. Last year in ASB, our class had the opportunity to go to [insert name of] Convalescent home and decorated for Valentine's Day. We bought Valentine's balloons and made a little under a hundred lovey-dovey cards. We came a little before it was time for them to eat (lunch, I'm going to assume) and just went all out for them.
The "old folks" really enjoyed it. I even had the chance to have a heart-to-heart with one of the older ladies. It was honestly really depressing actually. She confessed to me that the rest home is "very lonely" and that she doesn't get a lot of visits - rarely in all reality. (Yes, I did forget her name which I feel bad about.) She also told me that she loved what we did for not only her, but for the rest of her neighbors; seeing them conversing with people, enjoying the attention really gave way to a better outlook for what time they had left.

AND NOT BEING ABLE TO DO THIS AGAIN IS JUST TERRIBLE. Due to it being "last minute," ASB will not be able to do this. It is also because we would not be able to get out of class and students would not be able to drive students. I'm certain, however, that some counselors/teachers who are not busy during fourth period would not mind taking us to the rest home and back. It truly is a heartwarming experience that everyone in their life should go through (a little dramatic, but whatevers).
