To show how much appreciation not only Student Council, but as a school as a whole, has for all Winter Sports athletes, we're having a Spirit Week! On Monday, we're jammin' with basketball - we wore Pajamas. On Tuesday, to support all Winter athletes, we FAKED an injury and wore band aids, casts, crutches, etc. I found it extremely awesome that a student actually brought a wheelchair. I now have to find out who that was :)
On Wednesday, Soccer is going to hit them so hard, they are going to see multiples - students tried to match with as many friends as they could! After so many frustrations and "OH SHOOT's" with mishaps with paint, ten of my friends and I all pulled off "SWAG" sweaters. On Thursday, wrestling is going to slam them so hard, we're sending them back to history - students are going to wear togas! (I just hope that it won't be too cold that day.) On Friday, students are going to rock school colors!
This week shall be awesome. I am really hoping the Winter athletes will feel the love <33

Upcoming Rallies ;D
Even though graduation seems to become closer and closer for the class of 2012, there is so much more to do, to work on, to create! We have four rallies coming up: the winter sports rally, the spring sports rally, Battle of the Sexes, and the Senior rally. I can feel the stress, worry, and exhaustion already building, but in the end, I know that it’ll all be worth it!
It’s really cool that, like the fall sports athletes, the winter and spring sports athletes are finally going to be recognized this year. It is not ONLY football that is being appreciated and I can honestly say that this change was the best one made.
I can not say it enough; I love, love, love, love, love the Battle of the Sexes rally. It is just another opportunity to show that girls are WAY MORE SUPERIOR to boys ;) Guys on one side of the gym and girls on the other; the very best time to let all the stereotypical insults to come flying out. But, literally, all of the “make me a sandwich, woman” remarks do not start at the rally, it initially starts when everyone in ASB are painting the signs. Brainstorming for all the rally necessities is so fun because all of a sudden there is this tension and rivalry between the guys and the girls. But of course, these rude statements are only “acceptable” for this special occasion. ;)
Senior rally? We’re not graduating this year, what the heck? |:,’
Gosh, I am so excited, like unbearably excited for this rally. One of my favorite parts about it is when they show how much the students have changed from when they walked the halls as freshmen to the now, fully changed seniors. Putting this rally together, I know, will bring every one so much more closer. It’s the realization that this is actually happening. This is real.
