Hair literally falling out, body practically decaying, and mind always scattering seems to follow me out of the fourth period, Student Council classroom. But, I have to say, every aspect and element that creates my lively, yet chaotic ASB family just pushes me to be the best that I can be. I know, cheesy right? But “whatevers.”
Just having this title isn’t enough; I have to perform, I have to pursue for satisfaction from others. The weight of the world definitely takes effect on my actions, but thank GOD for every single student council member that I have supporting and trusting in me. They have completely helped me with not only the big things, but the little things that I unfortunately miss. (Don’t judge, I’m only human.)
Last year with Dani Rafanan as ASB president, I never truly understood the immense amount of stress that she had to go through. I seen her facial expression go from ultimate bliss to a straight dive into the dark, destructive abyss. How would anyone relate to her in her time of reign? Other than, of course, the next generation, the next president.
If it is not obvious to others, circumstances and systems have changed. “Tradition is out of trend, let’s make room for [this so-called] better...” It is beyond frustrating; I am flustered. To those who are oblivious, I am frankly, plainly irritated. But what can be cherished if our mindset is already tarnished? “Just going with the flow” has never sounded so sweet, and in my part, mending and bending and blending has evolutionary constructed this year, 2011-2012’s very own Student Council.
But however inevitable unfortunate events may be placed, dedication will cure all.
Heart; all you need is heart.
